Peri-Implant Tissue Behaviour Next to Different Titanium Surfaces: 16-Year Post-Trial Follow-Up

چکیده
The present post-trial follow-up investigated the influence of titanium implants with different surface treatments on clinical behavior soft and hard peri-implant tissues. Each 18 included patients received at least two adjacent implants: one control implant a dual acid-etched (DAE) in their apical portion machined coronal part, test DAE up to its portion. Peri-implant bone level change (BLC), probing depth (PD), bleeding (BOP) plaque index (PI) were recorded. A total 42 was inserted. mean period 9.3 years (range: 5–16 years) there six dropouts. No failed. Moderate crestal remodeling occurred during first year after insertion, lower loss next compared ones (0.80 vs. 1.39 mm; p = 0.002). This difference also detected 5- (p 0.011), 6- 0.008) 7-year appointment 0.027). statistically significant differences found resorption between rehabilitated ceramic composite resin veneering material. for BOP, PI, PD any time point. results study suggest that surfaces reduce initial phase healing surfaces, while they do not significantly affect tissue maintenance long-term. In conclusion, minimally rough favour effect is greater post insertion.

Porous titanium granules in the treatment of peri-implant osseous defects—a 7-year follow-up study
BACKGROUND A great number of different treatment protocols for peri-implantitis have been suggested but there is no consensus regarding the most effective intervention. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the long-term clinical and radiographic results from a study on peri-implant osseous defect reconstruction. Patients having participated in a randomized clinical study 7 years earlier...

PURPOSE Tissue reactions to 4 different implant surfaces were evaluated in regard to the development and progression of ligature-induced peri-implantitis. MATERIALS AND METHODS In 6 male mongrel dogs, a total of 36 dental implants with different surfaces (9 titanium plasma-sprayed, 9 hydroxyapatite-coated, 9 acid-etched, and 9 commercially pure titanium) were placed 3 months after mandibular ...
متن کاملthe effect of plaque on peri implant soft tissue health: a 4 years follow up study
introduction microbial plaque is the main etiologic factor which causes disease in soft tissue around dental implants. the purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of plaque on health indicies of soft tissue around dental implants. methods and materials 45 patients with 211 dental implants were examined clinically for four years after prosthodontic treatment. plaque index and health ind...
متن کاملBone tissue response to plasma-nitrided titanium implant surfaces
A current goal of dental implant research is the development of titanium (Ti) surfaces to improve osseointegration. Plasma nitriding treatments generate surfaces that favor osteoblast differentiation, a key event to the process of osteogenesis. Based on this, it is possible to hypothesize that plasma-nitrided Ti implants may positively impact osseointegration. Objective The aim of this study wa...

The purpose of this case series was to evaluate secondary soft tissue level changes of a single-stage surgical protocol combining immediate implant placement and connective tissue grafting in maxillary incisors associated with gingival recession defects. Ten patients underwent the proposed combined treatment consisting of 11 single-tooth implant restorations. Peri-implant soft tissue level and ...
